ROOF GUARD is a rigid extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam board with a closed-cell structure, offering excellent thermal resistance, long-lasting R-value, strong mechanical properties, and superior resistance to water and vapor absorption.
ROOF GUARD
ROOF GUARD is an XPS rigid foam board with a high-density skin, manufactured to ASTM-C578 standards, featuring outstanding insulation properties.
It is suitable for both **Inverted Roof Systems** and **Conventional Roof Systems**.
INVERTED ROOF SYSTEM
This system is widely recommended by consultants and architects due to its multiple advantages. The waterproofing membrane is applied directly to the roof deck, followed by ROOF GUARD boards, a separation layer, and a final layer of gravel, paving slabs, or tiles.
Advantages:
- Protects the waterproofing membrane from weather and mechanical damage, extending its lifespan.
- Reduces roof maintenance costs.
INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATIONS
The concrete deck should be clean and smooth. If rough, a protection sheet is advised under the membrane. The waterproofing membrane must be of high quality and free from solvents that could damage XPS foam.
ROOF GUARD boards should be laid loosely over the membrane with tight staggered joints, followed by paving slabs or gravel.
