SAPTEX-PIR A “POLYISOCYANURATE FOAM”
SAPTEX PIR is a high-performance polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam manufactured similarly to polyurethane foam but with superior fire resistance. SAPTEX PIR retains all the advantages of rigid polyurethane foam while offering greatly enhanced resistance to burning, the least spread of flame, and the ability to withstand continuous temperatures up to 140°C. When exposed to fire, the outer surface of the foam forms a strong carbonaceous fibrillar network, which prevents further flame spread and penetration.
For identification purposes, SAPTEX PIR blocks may be colored pink or green during processing, if required.
APPLICATION
SAPTEX PIR is widely used for thermal insulation in air-conditioning systems, technical applications, petrochemical plants, process plants, and power plants. It is used to insulate pipes, tanks, vessels, and ducts. The material can be adhered to rigid or flexible substrates, making it ideal for various insulation applications.

DENSITY:
30 to 50 Kg/m³ for pipe, duct, and slab insulation.

* After installation, insulation for pipes and ducts must be protected against weather
conditions and sunlight.
SIZES:
- Pipe sections and fittings available for any outer diameter, with a length of 1
meter.
- Sizes up to 100 mm OD are supplied in half sections.
- Sizes over 100 mm OD are available in half sections or segments as per
agreement.
- Slabs available in 1200 x 1000 mm and 1200 x 2000 mm, or custom sizes upon
request.
- Edges: Straight edges for slabs.
- SAPTEX PIR is vermin and rodent-proof and inert to most chemicals.
